It seems we're all looking for a bit of vintage in our wardrobes these days. We all want to rock that vintage vibe and be more original and creative than the next person. We seem to all be craving that essence of an era gone by, and everyone's doing it - from catwalk to high street. In recent years fashion's adopted looks from the 20s and 30s, seen the rise (and fall) of the eighties fashion come back (eek!), but this season it's the seventies that fashion is embracing. Last season we already saw the catwalks come alive with the vibrancy of the 1970's, and designers charmed us with some long awaited hippy romance. And the trend is set to continue well into 2011. So here's a little romantic 1970's inspiration to get us in the mood...
The 1970's are back! But this time around it's not all denim shorts and beaded headbands. It's more 1970's Halston and Yves Saint Laurent, super glam 1907's fashion that's all about luxurious fabrics, decadent prints and silks, and some serious glamour. Here's some shots I found taken from various recent editorials featuring 1970's inspired fashion looks. They all seem to have one thing in common...true romance. Must be something about that seventies vibe, ahhh roll on summer...

Love this all denim platform look. An easy to achieve classic 70's look.

Freja is just so hot. Love this look, the big shades, the fringe, the cuff...
never thought I'd say it, but the roll neck too!

Ahhh the gorgeous Kate, looking as good as ever. Airbrushed? (of course). But you can't deny she looks fabulous. This is the S/S '11 campaign for Longchamp, isn't the imagery lovely? it really does portray an idealistic style of living - sunshine, good looks and the most desirable chic wardrobe. Take me there now!
